deliverance

From those chains that bind me
From the burdens that grind me
From those swords meant to kill
Save me mother ! save my will

From brothers who now are not

From neighbors I always fought
From a name that divided us all
Catch me mother ! break my fall

From thoughts that creep the earth

From ideas reared in mud and dirt
From elders who'll push me away
Lead me mother ! show me a way

From kings who'll walk not bare

From teachers who aren't aware
From trees which bears no leaf
Shade me mother ! shade my grief

the moon

this is something i cooked up during one of my many ho boy....here we go again...... evening highway trips to hyderabad.....i chose to listen to this megalomaniac poet ! represent the moon as a leader, a true one......who chose his duty above his heart......

lighting up the unknown, in that azure sky
along with many, but alone and high
the moon is the king for everyone to see
revered by all, feared yet loved is he

shines, a beacon of hope and happiness sent
smiles on the misfortuned, burnt or bent
guides when none would come forth to
punishes when faith dips so far, so few

times did come when our king was felled
humans we, in blossoms-parching dwelled
but he rises again, never losing to defeat
and bigger he rises, in victory hes complete

what sacrifices made ! heart turned stone
the love he yearned, was what left him lone
the maiden who stole his heart, all did see
was the lass of the earth, the easterly sea

alas she became, the suns bride of good
love couldn't be lost, her waves stood
in rage the god banished him, to dark side
her folly now at moonlight, draws a tide

yet he leads, all of earths child, silent
his duty came forth, honor never bent
lighting up the unknown, in that azure sky
along with others, but alone and high
